I ponder...

20.12.2008 Saturday

I saw these meaning phrases from the internet today and they made me ponder a bit about it...

"Only when you've been shaken, you learn to be firm. It is only when you've lost something precious that you learn to treasure it." - This is somehow quite true to me :S

"Happisness is within. It has nothing to do with how much applause you get or how many people praise you. Happiness comes when you believe that you have done something truly meaningful." - Martin Yan

"Don't let your past dictate who you are, but let it be part of who you will become."

"Some things are not meant to last, they just take a place in your heart and make you smarter the next time"

"Real loss only occurs when you've loved something more than you love yourself.

"Letting go doesn't mean giving up, but rather accepting that there are things that cannot be."

"Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose."

"A friend is someone who knows the worst thing about you and it doesn't matter."

"Old friends pass away, new friends appear. It is just like the days. An old day passes, a new day arrives. The important thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend - or a meaningful day." - Dalai Lama

"Best friends are the siblings God didn't give us."

"Life's short. If you don't look around once in a while you might miss it"

"Most people walk in and out of your life, but only friends leave footprints in your heart."

"If you live without feeling the need to change, or the courage to make the change, then you merely exist." - Brandon Abernathy

"People who wait for changes to occur on the outside before they commit to making changes on the inside will never make any changes at all."

These are the funny ones...that we can see as a sign from the church of modern days.

"Try our Sundays. They are better than Baskin-Robbins."

"Dusty Bibles lead to Dirty Lives"

"Forbidden fruit creates many jams"

"Running low on faith? Stop in for a fill-up."

"If you can't sleep, don't count sheep. Talk to the Shepherd." - I like this one!! :D

"Come work for the Lord. The work is hard, the hours are long and the pay is low. But the retirement benefits are out of this world."

When the restaurant next to another church put out a big sign with red letter that said, "Open Sundays," the church reciprocated with its own message: "We are open on Sundays, too!"

"No God-No Peace. Know God-Know Peace."
