After reading Ps. Jaeson Ma's blog few days ago, I had been pondering about this for quite a while. It's so true that throughout our life, people are always so interested to know how's our relationship life. "Do you have a boyfriend?" and "Got people go after you or not?" are always the first question that people regularly asked me especially those who I haven't met for ages.
After reading Leslie Ludy's book about 'When God writes your love story', I really agreed with her that each of us are like a plate that are reserved by God for someone. It's the matter of time to know who that person is. How simply are you, when you are so precious and you just simply give yourself out for someone that's not in God's plan for us? And at the end of the relationship, you felt hurt. You are just hurting yourself! You allow that person to rape you off emotionally. You allow yourself to become a victim!
Just imagine it now, if the person that God reserved for you is beside you, and your mind is wandering and kept thinking of the other guy that is not going to be ours. What will he think? Or think it in the opposite way, if you are beside your future hubby, and his mind is thinking of the other girl, what will you feel? Jealous? Angry? If you know you will feel it that way, protect yourself, and protect your future partner. Indeed like what Ps. Jaeson's said, protect each other at all cost!
"Live your life as if there's a pair of eyeballs just right beside you that can see what you are seeing and are watching you for what you are doing; and a pair of ears that can hear your thoughts and mind!"
This is what a leader told me. How do you know whether your future partner is truly God-given but not the one that you said he is the one... "Your partner will be someone that replicate God's love for you!" RUN or AVOID if he/she doesn't replicate God's love for you. And "If you don't feel comfortable showing your true self including your weakness, forget about dwelling yourself in that relationship." DON'T FORCE YOURSELF to be with him/her too!! You will surely suffer yourself in long-term. EASY~ :) And "never ever change yourself or compromise for the sake of that person. Just stay who you are! You are just as great as who God created you to be!" That'll be too fake if you really do so. You are NOT your true self anymore! I'm sure all of us wants to be around sincere and genuine people. It's the same.
Yes, girls do have their own requirements that they are looking for in the man of their life. And there are times when we are being impatient with God's timing, we tend to compromise! Please don't!! God is a God of high standard, why don't you believe for a high standard one? He knows your standard and expectation. Delight in Him and He will give you the desire of your heart! He loves you and me too much to not give us the person that doesn't suit us. Don't play with other people's feeling if you don't want others to play around with you. Don't make other people misunderstood your actions, you either make it clear or just don't do anything and allow God to do the rest.
You may feel that God's doing nothing, but He is doing something behind. Building him/her up to be so suitable for you! That's where our faith in Him is. A lot of people have the perspective that it's easy to get into one, but for me, they are just too simply getting one! Don't make it simply and easy when God has the best for you! ;) Don't try to take control, let God write your love story.
Col 1:17 "He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together."
I rather wait for God a bit longer to have and be the BEST but not the second best ehy! Keep praying and be patient! ;) Believe and see :D
